Applicability of the Terms & Conditions

By using the Eat-In Peru website and services, whether as a visitor, guest, or host, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. All users must read, understand, and accept the conditions set forth here.

All hosts and guests using the platform must comply with the Eat-In Peru Code of Conduct, which is incorporated into these Terms & Conditions.

Terms and Definitions

In these Terms & Conditions, the following definitions apply:

HOSTS:
Hosts are suppliers of Eat-In Peru’s offerings. They are defined as such once their profiles appear online and they can receive bookings via the platform.

GUESTS:
Guests are individuals who use Eat-In Peru to make reservations or communicate with local hosts.

Legal Entity:
Eat-In Peru is a privately registered company based in Lima, Peru. The company operates under applicable Peruvian law.

Reservations (for Guests):
All reservations made via Eat-In Peru’s website or app are automatically forwarded to the chosen host.

– Instant Confirmation: The reservation is automatically confirmed with the requested host at the selected date and time. Eat-In Peru reserves the right to suggest alternate hosts or times if necessary.

– On-Request Bookings: These depend on the host’s availability and the relevant activity or ticket. Eat-In Peru ensures confirmation or denial within 48 hours. A reservation is valid only when confirmed by Eat-In Peru via email.

By making a reservation, guests agree to Eat-In Peru’s cancellation policy.

Reservations (for Hosts):
When a guest makes a reservation via Eat-In Peru, the host is required to deliver the booked service. Hosts should be aware that cancellations can negatively impact guest satisfaction and their performance on the platform.

Payments

Reservations must be paid in full at the time of booking. Payments are processed on behalf of the host and Eat-In Peru deducts a service fee. Payments are transferred to the host within 72 hours after the event, provided it was delivered to the guest’s satisfaction.

Payment Obligation

Once payment is made, the guest’s financial responsibility is considered fulfilled.

Applicable Taxes

Hosts are responsible for determining and paying any applicable local taxes, including VAT, sales tax, or other relevant levies. Eat-In Peru will issue invoices to hosts for its service fees. Hosts must comply with local tax laws and provide guests with any required documentation.

Proprietary Material

All content on the Eat-In Peru website, including text, graphics, media, software, and designs, is proprietary and protected by intellectual property laws. Users are prohibited from copying or using the content without explicit authorization from Eat-In Peru.

Quality of Information

While Eat-In Peru endeavors to ensure the quality and accuracy of host-provided information and events, it cannot guarantee that all details are correct. In cases of misleading information, Eat-In Peru may offer refunds or charge hosts but assumes no further liability.

Warranties

Eat-In Peru does not guarantee that its website or services will be free from errors or interruptions. Updates or changes to the platform may occur without prior notice.

Disclaimer

Eat-In Peru disclaims any warranties related to the availability, reliability, or quality of its website, services, or events. The platform is offered on an “as-is” basis, and Eat-In Peru assumes no responsibility for user-generated content.

Liability

Eat-In Peru’s liability is limited to facilitating services on the platform. Any damages are capped at the amount paid by the guest. Participation in events is entirely at the guest’s own risk.

Issues and Complaints

Guests must notify Eat-In Peru of any issues or complaints within one day of the event. Both hosts and guests are expected to cooperate in resolving disputes. Refunds may be issued if the host fails to deliver the agreed-upon service.

Code of Conduct for Hosts

Hosts are required to meet high-quality standards, demonstrating passion for their subject, authenticity in their offerings, and professionalism in their conduct. Hosts must prioritize guest needs, ensure a safe environment, and deliver engaging, memorable experiences that reflect the spirit of Peruvian culture.

Code of Conduct for Guests

Guests are expected to uphold a respectful and professional demeanor toward their hosts and use the platform exclusively for its intended purpose. Any offensive, inappropriate, or disruptive behavior may result in the suspension or termination of services.

Eat-In Peru Services for Guests

Eat-In Peru connects guests with local hosts to offer unique, authentic culinary experiences across Peru. By booking an experience, guests enter into a direct contract with their host, while Eat-In Peru acts solely as an intermediary. Guests must be at least 18 years old to participate in any experience.

Eat-In Peru Services for Hosts

Eat-In Peru offers local hosts a dedicated platform to showcase and provide authentic food tours and experiences to guests. We support hosts by promoting their profiles and activities, helping them create engaging, memorable events that connect with guests while fostering success in the culinary tourism industry.

Cancellation policy
The refund amount for a canceled booking depends on the timing of the cancellation. If you cancel less than 7 days before the start of the experience, or if the time between booking and the experience is less than 24 hours, no refund will be issued.
